Welcome to Olongapo Outfitters!
If you are looking for high quality shooting gear, you are in the right place!
Right now I'm making gear that was
ordered 22MAR10, so I'm about 4 1/2
months out on orders. (29JUL10)
I have discontinued a number of options in an effort to speed up production. With all of the styles (AR15, 7.62, etc), all of the colors, and all of the options, I could never mass produce anything, and have been falling behind because I have to make everything one at a time. It will still take me a few months to work through the one-at-a-time orders that have already been placed; but I will be making inventory on all of the gear on the website, also. Ultimately, I will have everything in stock and ready to ship within 1-2 days of being paid for. I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this transitional period. (04FEB10)
I finally got caps back in! Whoo-hoo!

The Famous (or Infamous) Olongapo Outfitters cover ("cap" to you civilians).
I've been putting one of these in with every order for a long time; but I ran out of them in March, and the company I bought them from was out of them, too. I looked at caps from other companies; but none of them measured up to the color or quality of this one, so I waited for the order.
It has arrived!
Why would anyone want one, you ask? Well, once you put it on your noggin you become more handsome and debonair; you lose weight; your blood pressure goes down; your cholesterol level drops; your hemorrhoids shrink; and your Johnson gets bigger in both length and girth. If a lady puts one on, in addition to the health bonuses, her bust size increases. **
**None of these claims has ever been scientifically proven, and probably never will be. But what do you want for nothing--egg in your beer?
If I shipped your order between March 2010 and now (June 24, 2010) and you didn't receive a cap, and would like one, please email me at jerry@olongapooutfitters.com . Semper Fi!
I make high quality gear for the discerning shooter. All of my gear is made out of heavy-duty mil-spec materials, and sewn with mil-spec techniques.
I use 1000 Denier Cordura, which is half the weight but has three times the abrasion resistance of old cotton canvas duck. Cordura also dries much faster.
I use 1", 2" and 3" 17337 and 43668 nylon webbing. 1" webbing has a breaking strength of 1100 pounds; 2" has a breaking strength of 2200 pounds; and 3" has a breaking strength of 3300 pounds.
I use #69 (Size E) and #92 (Size F) nylon bonded thread. Nylon bonded thread has three (or four) individual threads that have been wound together for extra strength, just as steel cable is stronger and more flexible than a solid steel wire.
I use mil-spec grommets and mil-spec Velcro, as well as ITW/Nexus/Fastex hardware and mil-spec shock cord (elastic cord). I use Lift-The-Dot snaps made by the DOT Company (Scovill). I cut all of the materials (except the Velcro) with a hot-knife to seal the edges so they won't fray--even edges of fabric and webbing that will never be seen--just to make the gear that much more durable.
All of the materials I use are Made in the USA, and the gear is Made in the USA (by me)!

The colors available are:
Coyote Tan/Khaki: Coyote Tan is not "tan" at all. It's a light olive-green, like WWII Khaki. The Garand Stock Pouch pictured above is made out of Coyote Tan fabric. This is also a very good neutral color for camouflage.
OD Green: The color used by the military from the middle of World War II up until recently.
Multicam: A new camouflage scheme created by Crye Precision. It works in just about every environment except snow. To see photos of how it works in many different environments, visit the Multicam website's Gallery.
Black: Basic black, used by LEOs and civilians.
MARPAT: I was able to get my hands on some 725d MARPAT Cordura. This is actual USMC fabric, not some knock-off Cordura. It has the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor and "USMC" imprinted in the fabric. This is the same fabric used for the USMC-issue ILBE assault pack.
I found a company that makes MARPAT Woodland webbing in all of the sizes that I need! Woo-hoo!
So, as of right now, all MARPAT gear will be made with the matching MARPAT webbing.

When you buy gear from Olongapo Outfitters, you're getting gear that will last--whether you use it at the range or out in the field under the harshest conditions.

I have only two men out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold.
